EFAS is thrilled to announce that three fellows – Bedri Karaismailoglu (Turkey), Ana Abarquero (Spain) and Emanuel Seiça (Portugal) – are selected to do the EFAS-AOFAS Exchange Program 2024.

The 2024 EFAS Travelling Fellowship offers young doctors a unique three-week training program alongside leading European Foot and Ankle surgeons. With two distinct routes covering up to six clinics, fellows gain firsthand experience and insights into diverse clinical practices. EFAS provides comprehensive support, covering all travel expenses and accommodations. Fellows have the opportunity to present their experiences during the EFAS Congress in Brussels. Applications are open until May 30th, 2024.

After the past EFAS Council Meeting, held the 16th of March 2024, in Brussels, Belgium, was decided, to inaugurate the 12th EFAS Committee, the Humanitarian Aid Committee.

The EFAS-AOFAS Exchange Program offers a unique opportunity for three European Young Surgeons to experience top-level hospitals in North America over three weeks. Participants will visit Vancouver, Salt Lake City, and Los Angeles, observing at renowned institutions, attending the AOFAS Annual Meeting, and collaborating on research projects.
